We Stamp For Lara
I have joined - why not come and join me - You can join us by purchasing entry using the paypal button on the left. It’s going to be awesome! If you would like to read more about Lara’s Story please see below
Here is Miss Lara’s story from Madonna’s blog:-
Lara May Dunn, my fourth child, was born on the 5th of November 2008.
The first sign that something was not right were Lara’s feet which were twisted and turned. At 6 weeks she was back in hospital for failing to thrive. A gamut of testing was started to try to find out what was going on…blood tests, x-rays and even an MRI. Her head hadn’t grown – Microcephaly was diagnosed. Nothing could be detected. There were no answers to be found in the genetic testing.
At 5 months Lara was back in hospital. This time the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane for laser surgery on her floppy voice box. Another gamut of tests and a diagnosis of severe reflux and Cerebral Palsy. This time they put a nasal gastric tube in and all her feeds were directed through there. By October of 2009 the NG tube had been replaced with a “button”, which is a direct line into her tummy for feeds. She will never eat a meal with our family conventionally or “normally”.
Over the last {almost} two years, Lara has been in and out of hospital with many different complex medical issues. She is so fragile and yet has a core of steel and is such a fighter!! She has grown so much!
With her growth has come a need for more specialised equipment. One of which is a Leckey Hi Low chair. A specialised seating system that can be adjusted to fit Lara perfectly. It’s on a wheel base which means she can be more a part of our family. She is able to be moved to where we are. She is not limited to where we can take her in and around our house. She can be exactly where the action is at any given time!
We are trying to fundraise the money to purchase one of these wonderful chairs – how much money?? They are upwards of $6000. We are trying to get funding for some of it but I am working with other stampers and dear friends to find ways to get the rest.
I don’t want to limit where Lara is able to go in our house. She will never walk or run or play with her siblings in any conventional way and yet she can still be present as they do those things. Your help in our efforts is very much appreciated.
Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators will bring you a month of tutorials for you which you will have access to until the end of December.
Come and join this worthy cause
I hope to see you there
Any questions just leave a comment and I will get back to you
Michelle

Home From Holidays
Always nice to go away for holidays but also good to be home - hubby & I had a fantastic time - just to give you a brief run down on what we did - we drove & stayed in Grafton on Wednesday Night (19th May) early Thursday morning we drove to Sydney - a long drive but the scenery along the way was beautiful. Friday and Saturday I attended this years Stampin' Up! Convention (I will go into that in another post), Sunday we spent the day around Darling Harbour - went to Paddy's Market (I love that place), did some shopping etc. Monday (24th May) we drove to Canberra we stayed in Canberra for a week and each day we did some different in the morning - we saw Parliament House, The Australian Mint, War Memorial (very moving place), Canberra's DFO (great shopping) - each afternoon saw us relaxing in the hotel room which was so roomy it was great to chill out and read, play DS Nintendo etc all th things I don't gt to do normally. Saturday (29th May) we drove through to Dubbo stayed in Dubbo for 2 nights on the Sunday we went to Western Plains Taronga Zoo if I had a chance to do the zoo again I would I had the best time. Monday morning we left Dubbo around 5.30am drove straight through to home - a long 9 hour drive but nice to see home.
I have to say that I am very lucky as hubby did all the driving on our holiday so I could just relax as a passenger.
Below are a few holiday snaps
Darling Harbour
Canberra Hotel
War Memorial
Siamangs
I will be back with another post about Stampin' Up! Convention and some of the Fantastic Promotions Stampin' Up! have at the moment.

Time Flies
I am so sorry for the delay in my post but there just isn't enough time in the day lately - work the last 2 week has been crazy as we had one lady away on holidays and I had to cover her desk as well as my own so by the time I get home I am so tired and hardly want to turn my laptop, I have created a few cards ( I will show you one at a time) & I am working on putting my Stampin' Up! convention swaps together - busy busy. I am involved in a yahoo group call Stampin-Up-In-Oz this a beautiful friendly group - open to anyone that loves Stampin' Up! product - you don't have to be a demonstrator to join - on the group they have what they call RAK's (Ramdon Act of Kidnes) cards and if a group member sends you a RAK within a month you have to have a Return RAK to them (RRAK) - I have received a few RAK's in the last few weeks and I have asked the creators if I can publish these on my blog and they are all happy for me to do so - there will be even more cards to show you.
The below card is one of my RRAK's - I am happy the way this card has turned out :-)
If you want to know any of the Stampin' Up! supplies I have used for this card just leave a comment and I will let you know.
Well until next time Happy Stamping
Michelle
PS I have not forgotten about my blog candy - as there were only 2 comments I am going to send both Annette & Jesse some candy :-)

My parents celebrated there 37th Wedding Anniversary on the 14th April and my mum always give Terry & I an wedding anniversary card each year - this year I decided I wanted to give my parents a surprise and send them a card - my mum called me on Sunday to say that they received my card and it was a nice surprise for them so I did get the reaction I wanted :-)
My card making has been so up & down over the last few years but now everything is on track I am enjoying my stamping again - I am look forward to making more cards and sending them to family & friends not always for a reason but just because I care and make the receiver smile.
This is the card I sent my parents

My News
I am back again - I survived the dentist only just hahhaha.
Well I did say in my previous post that I had some news to tell you no I am not pregnant lol - well in March I decided to rejoin Stampin' Up! (SU) I know I did join SU last year but life did a backward turn and things weren't easy but that's another story that I would prefer not to go into - I can firmly say that everything is back on track for me & life could not be happier. I look forward to sharing alot more of my card making with you but also more about what Stampin' Up! has to offer. It is so good to be able to get back into my card making but I also look forward to doing SU workshops and showing people the SU products.

Easter
OMG I am a bad blogger before I really started - I am so sorry that I have not updated earlier and I do have a few things to tell you so there is no excuses.
I hope you all had a nice Easter - for me it was nice and relaxing - spent the time stamping, sleeping & stamping some more - Saturday we went and saw my parents which was nice to catch up with them again. I surprised my mum as I gave them an Easter Card this year (sorry I did not take a picture of the card) normally I run out of time but not this year - I am trying to be more organised with my cards hopefully I can keep this up.
As we live on property we get so many birds around us and I have the joy of feeding them and if I get slack they reminder me by tapping on the door but the magpies are the ones they just walk through the door if it is open funny creatures they are - so on Easter Morning I had to give our birds a treat the Rainbow Lorikeets got Hot Cross Buns (a whole 6) and our Magpies got a few prawns (which I am annoyed I did not get a picture of).
Well I am off to the dentist tomorrow to get a tooth pulled which I am not looking forward to but I do have some more exciting news to tell you but I am going to make this a separate post tomorrow :-)
Until then take care

Holidays
Finally I have booked my holidays in at work for end May / early June - it will be nice to have 2 weeks off as it has been a while since I have had a nice long holiday - now the decision is where am I going to go for my Holiday? We had been discussing a cruise but that idea has passed due to hubby's egg allergy I would be scared if he had an attacked while at sea so now we are discussing Sydney & Canberra as there are places I would still like to see in both States - I am sure once everything is finalized I will let you know.
Let me know your favourite holiday destination?
Until next time take care
